Posted on March 3, 2015

Toronto, ON (March 2, 2014): JDS Energy and Mining is proud to announce that over $15,000.00 was raised by clients, guests and members of the Prospect and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) for True Patriot Love Foundation.  Over 250 members of the mining and energy sector joined JDS Energy & Mining to show their gratitude and support for Canada’s military and their families.

Hosted at DEQ Lounge at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, JDS Energy & Mining was enthusiastic to announce their support of True Patriot Love in the lead up to PDAC 2015 International Convention. Inspired by the outpouring of support for the families of Corporal Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, JDS made the commitment to raise money in support of the brave members of the armed forces and the sacrifices they make for Canada.

“JDS Energy & Mining is enthusiastic to support Canada’s military and their families in honoring the incredible sacrifices they make for Canada. With the tragic news of fallen soldiers Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, I was compelled to bring awareness to the level of service and dedication our Canadian Armed Forces make to preserve our freedoms and way of life in this great nation.  I am excited to connect not only the contributions of JDS, but also a few of my leadership friends of the Mining Industry in support of such a great cause.”  Jeff Stibbard, C.E.O., JDS Energy & Mining, Inc.

With the leadership of JDS Energy & Mining, along with the generous support of the PDAC members in attendance last night, True Patriot Love will be able to continue to fulfill its mission of supporting members of the Canadian military, veterans and their families and ensure they receive the support where and when it’s needed most.

“This is a great example of the business community, in this case the mining and energy sector, coming together under the leadership of one company, JDS Energy & Mining, to support our Canadian military and their families. It’s through support like this that True Patriot Love is able to reach out and serve those who have sacrificed so much for our country. Working with JDS, a great Canadian company, has helped us raise awareness about the needs of the military community and their families.”  Michael Burns, Vice-Chair, True Patriot Love Foundation
